Come & Worship!

Two Worship Services: Lansing Church is temporarily moving to two worship services.

The spacing for 6-foot social distancing between family units limits the number of people we accommodate in our sanctuary to approximately 150. Two services allow us to be able to worship on Sabbath morning, without having to turn anyone away. In light of the governor’s latest order, we are now requiring masks at both services.

Times of services (Face Masks required for those over 5 yrs old):

First Service: 8:30 AM

Sabbath School: 10:00 AM

Second Service: 11:15 AM

Registration is NO longer required.

Sabbath School: Is in person. See Sabbath School section below for information.

Fellowship Meals: No church fellowship meals at this time.

Prayer Meeting: This will continue via Zoom through the month of July.

Health Questions

Before coming to church, ask yourself if you have had any of the following symptoms in the past 7 days.

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

If your answer to any of the above is, “yes,” then for your safety and for the safety of your church family, stay home.

In keeping with the CDC recommendation of 6′ spacing between households, we are limiting our sanctuary attendance to 125 people.

To accommodate everyone, there will be two services. As our numbers at each service have been under the 125 number, registration is no longer required.

This is a dynamic situation that is being closely watched by the Emergency Response Committee.

What to bring:

Face maskRequired for both services.

Bible and a sheet of paper to take notes.

Hymnal: If you have a hymnal, bring it as there will be no hymnals in the pews.

Understanding for those who may not see the pandemic the same way you do.

To be BLESSED! This is our church family with just a few tweaks to help keep us safe.

Temperature: For your safety, your temperature will be taken at the door.

Deacons & Deaconesses will guide you to your seat. Please keep 6 feet between your family and others.

Worship Service:

Children will stay in pews during children’s story.

To decrease the possible spread of disease, hymnals and Bibles have been removed from pews.

The bulletin is digital.

Offering: You may place your tithes/offering in the offering box located in the foyer.

Dismissal: We will dismiss pews starting from the back of the sanctuary.

We are asking everyone to exit as quickly as possible from the church and continue socializing in the parking lot.

What to Expect – Sabbath School

When you arrive:

Temperature check at the door.

Entrance will be upstairs: In an effort to keep us moving in the same direction, everyone will be entering the church through the upstairs doors. Look for signs to explain where to go.

During Sabbath School:

All will wear facemasks and practice social distancing. The exceptions are children in Cradle Roll and Kindergarten. Parents may choose to have their children wear face masks in these classes if they choose.

Sanitizers will be in each room.

Bathroom: Follow limit to the number allowed in the bathroom at one time (1)

Bottled water will be available for the children’s Sabbath School rooms.

Picking your children up (lower level):

Follow the arrows marked on the floor for the direction of travel through the hallway.

Observe the social distancing markers on the floor when waiting to pick up your child.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone back at Sabbath School and studying the Word of God together again! We all must be diligent in these times. Please be praying for our teachers and leaders as they make the changes necessary for safely opening our Sabbath School.
