Dear Retreat Attendees,

This weekend is just around the corner. I know all of us are looking forward to spending time together away from all of the craziness. This coming weekend is so important. We have needed time to come together and rest with God, our church family, and nature.

I am SO grateful we are still able to hold the church retreat. The levels of COVID-19 in our state have risen dramatically (and deaths have also seen a slight uptick). However, God has graciously kept his hand over these plans. Praise God for His mercy!

The Emergency Operations Planning Committee (EOPC) met on Sunday evening to discuss what are the best practices for our church to follow this weekend. We want to ensure while we are worshipping together, we also are protecting those who may be physically weak among us (Romans 14).

After much discussion, consideration, and prayer, the EOPC saw the Lord guiding us to the following guidelines for our retreat:  “Masks should be worn in any inside common area. Not required outside or when sitting for meals.”

If you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, please let one of us (Pastor Phil or Pastor Jerico) know. I look forward to the day when the pandemic is behind us! I also look forward to seeing each of you there.

Let us take advantage of this God orchestrated retreat and allow His spirit to move upon us powerfully. My prayer is nothing will keep us away from the rich blessings God has in store for us this weekend.

May the Lord richly bless you.

Warmly,

Pastor Mills
