Dear Church Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this update. I spoke with Bob Murphy just a few minutes ago. Jody, his wife, and a dear friend to so many of us, went to her rest in the arms of Jesus around 5:30 this evening. Bob’s faith is strong in the Lord’s soon coming.
Jody’s wishes were to be cremated. He and I will be meeting this week to start putting together plans for a future memorial service. Bob appreciates all of the prayers and support that has come in during this time. As I’m sure you can understand, he may not be able to respond to each and every one, but know that he has appreciated your thoughts and prayers.
How true the words penned by John in the book of Revelation are for our dear sister Jody:
Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”
Revelation 14:13
