By Heather Perez

My name is Heather Perez and I love Jesus so much!  He truly is my best friend.
I am also a proud mom to a son named Joshua.
I have grown to love prayer like never before. I grew up in a praying home where I often saw my dad and stepmom praying very early in the mornings and throughout the day.  I didn’t get it then, but I get it now.
Prayer is everything!  It’s how we communicate with our Creator/Savior/God, who is every answer and every need.
My prayer life has grown tremendously within the last 7 years. This level was generated while meditating over Ephesians 3:17-21, which reminds us that God’s love for us passes our knowledge, and what He wants for us passes our requests and even thoughts. I want ALL that God has for me, while anxiously awaiting His return! And it all begins with Matthew 7:7, which tell us to “Ask, and it shall be given…” (which is ultimately heaven).
I am privileged and honored to be your Prayer Ministry leader for the year. We currently have 40 team members who are committed to praying for you.  Some of them even follow up with me to confirm they are indeed praying.
We receive our prayer requests by email, text, phone, letter, Facebook Messenger, and the prayer request form on our church website. We receive requests from church family, their friends and acquaintances, and total strangers. We’ve even received some from out of the country!
Regardless of how the prayer request is received, I submit them via email to the team. We always include a scripture with the prayer request received, speaking God’s Word over them. We also share scriptures of praise to God when we find out a prayer request was answered.
So please let us know if you have a prayer request so we can pray with you. If you ever want to join the team, just let me know.
My prayer for you, church family, is one I pray for myself. It is found in Philippians 4:6: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”
