The church board voted this week to establish a newly elected officer position within our local congregation: Small Group Coordinator. These volunteers will fortify the existing small groups and help in the growth and multiplication of new strong groups. The small group coordinators will support the group leaders, help them plan evangelism for their group, and help connect new individuals with an appropriate group. They will ensure that the small group ministry continues and grows after the imminent departure of the current coordinator, Dina Mojica-Coelho.
The board nominated two individuals to serve in this role: Val Riggs & Charles Okuka. The church at large will vote on these candidates shortly. More coordinators will be added as the groups multiply to ensure that each coordinator is responsible for no more than five groups.
