Hi, Lansing church family! I have already had the privilege of meeting many of you, but, for those whom I have not met, my name is Erik Christensen. I am 22 years old, and some of my hobbies include music, spending time outdoors, history, airplanes (although I probably won’t ever be a pilot), travel, good food and deep character studies of my Bible heroes!

I was born in the great state of Washington and spent most of my growing-up years there (except for a couple years in Guam). I was homeschooled for most of my education but got the opportunity to attend Fountainview Academy for high school. While I was there, I experienced God’s providence in the form of godly mentors and friends who encouraged me to get to know Jesus for myself. My junior year I read The Desire of Ages, and the picture I came to see of Jesus set me on a path toward ministry.

After high school, I took my BA in Religion from Weimar University and finished this last spring. From there God led me here, where I have been volunteering with various aspects of gospel and medical work.

I have really been blessed by my time here so far (I have particularly enjoyed all the wonderful potlucks, getting involved with small groups and playing your gorgeous piano) and appreciate all the wisdom and mentorship that I have been able to receive. You are truly a family that reflects the kindness and warmth of Jesus.
