On Sunday, November 17, the Lansing Church will open its doors to the community for a free medical, dental, and vision clinic. Organized in partnership with AMEN (Adventist Medical Evangelism Network), the clinic will offer dental cleanings/fillings/extractions, eye exams and eyeglasses, basic medical screenings, ob/gyn services, and health education—all at no cost to patients.

Dentists, optometrists, physicians, and other medical professionals will volunteer their time to provide free services for those in need. “Our primary focus will be dental and vision care, since many people lack insurance coverage for these areas and have to postpone badly needed services because they can’t afford the cost,” says Julie Klein, who is organizing the clinic along with Donna Hall and Sheri Christie.

Volunteers will demonstrate God’s love in practical ways, ministering as Jesus did to both body and soul. “The church board voted to make this clinic our major outreach for 2024,” says Donna Hall. “As we meet people’s physical needs, it opens the way to share spiritual truth with them.”

You can begin sharing this article and the flyer below with people who may need these services. Volunteers will be needed to help with many aspects of the clinic. To find out how you can participate, talk to a member of the organizing team. You can also support this project with a financial donation. Mark your gift “dental clinic.”
