You are invited to join your fellow church members in earnest prayer in the church sanctuary. Currently there are five time slots led by pastors and lay members, ranging from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm, with at least one time slot every day. (See the full schedule below.)

These thoughts from the current prayer hosts will give you a small glimpse of the blessings that await as we unite in seeking the Lord.

From Pastor Phil:

Eight months ago, I was strongly impressed to join Clinton in the morning for prayer. I am so thankful that I have. It has been such a blessing. If you haven’t come, you should. It’ll change your life.

From Mitch Bane:

It is a new experience for me to come to God’s sanctuary 6 days a week and pray to the Lord for an hour.  Some days there are up to 7 praying with us.  Many days, it is just me.  Either way, there the Spirit of God makes Himself known to us – through the inspirational prayers of my brothers and sisters, or through His small, quiet voice that says “Be still and KNOW that I am God.”

Clinton Hansen is the visionary of our emphasis on prayer, although I can report on three key items that have been discussed:

1) We are praying for the Lord to enlist more Prayer Warriors who will take specific times beyond what is already covered.  We are asking the Lord for 24/7 prayer time coverage. There are plenty of times/days of the week available as there are about 168 hours in the week and we currently have only 30 hours covered.

2) We are praying for the Lord to impress some of our sisters in the church to join as Prayer Warriors to take specific times to host.

3) We want to encourage all members to DROP IN AT ANY TIME CURRENTLY LISTED and experience the blessing of praying audibly to the Lord in the sanctuary – to claim God’s promise of “Where two or three are gathered together IN MY NAME, there am I in the midst of them.” Prayer participants need not come on a regular basis or commit to any specific time or day. They can show up whenever a prayer time is scheduled.

From Clinton Hansen:

It’s a time to come together as a church and do more conversational prayer. We can petition the Lord and claim His promises just as in the parable of the neighbor asking for bread.

These are two of the Ellen G. White quotes I like as guiding lights:

“A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work. There must be earnest effort to obtain the blessing of the Lord, not because God is not willing to bestow his blessing upon us, but because we are unprepared to receive it. Our Heavenly Father is more willing to give his Holy Spirit to them that ask him, than are earthly parents to give good gifts to their children. But it is our work, by confession, humiliation, repentance, and earnest prayer, to fulfill the conditions upon which God has promised to grant us his blessing. A revival need be expected only in answer to prayer.

“There is no limit to the usefulness of the one who, putting self aside, makes room for the working of the Holy Spirit upon his heart, and lives a life wholly consecrated to God.”

From Pastor JC:

My favorite part of coming to prayer time so far is that my prayer is accompanied with song. When I worship the Lord, I come completely and unreserved into His presence, and there receive His peace. It’s been really nice so far to bring in my guitar and just be there with Him.

From Howard Cousins:

There is no bad time when you can talk, speak and spend time with the Lord. You just have to decide what time works best for you!
